The media FUD machine marches on.
A recent report titled “Pilot Reports of Close Calls With Drones Soar in 2015” makes mention of 764 close-call incidents between sUAS/Drones and full scale aircraft. But the Academy of Model Aeronautics found that many drone sightings reported to FAA were vague, mistaken or involved remotely piloted aircraft that were following the rules. Only 3.5% of all reports were determined to be of legitimate concern.
